This rustic five bedroom camp on Lake Winnipesaukee's exclusive and secluded South Wolfeboro Bay with all the amenities can be yours for a little as $1000 a week off season, $1500 in season, $2000 a week for major holidays.

This camp is not for people who are looking for a suburban house and lawn transported to the woods. You'll get city water, electric, full bathroom and kitchen -- but no sheetrock, no lawn, no servants.

If you're interested in a real Lake Winnipesaukee experience at a very reasonable price, write us at nathanrudy@gmail.com. Please include a phone number and any questions you have.

What It Costs at Whip-Poor-Will Lodge
We Take Checks and Barter!

We rent from 3 p.m. Saturday to 9 a.m. Saturday, so you get seven nights. We have three basic tiers to our rentals: Off-Season; In-Season; Holiday.

Off-Season -- $1,000 per week: May, early June and September. For hardy souls who want to come up in April (not a good idea for anyone but penguins) or October (for leaf peeping, which can be awesome or REALLY cold), that's off-season as well and we can negotiate down.

In-Season -- $1,500 per week: Late June, July and August. Pretty much the last two full weeks of June, all of July and through the last partial week of August.

Holiday Weeks -- $2,000 per week: Memorial Day Week, Independence Day Week, and Labor Day Week. The week that includes the holiday day is a Holiday Week. However, in 2009 Independence Day is on a Saturday, so if you are interested in being up over the Fourth of July we can work something out.

Deposit: All rentals require a $500 deposit for potential cleaning costs or damage repair. We ask for a separate check of $500 which we will not deposit unless it is necessary to pay someone to clean or repair the camp due to the renter's actions. Renters are not liable for things outside their control like tree limbs, wind, etc. If you want, we can either mail you the check back or tear it up.

Barter: We're renting the camp for two reasons: to make sure it gets used and loved, and to offset the costs of a vacation property we don't use enough. We are happy to discuss barter to pay for the Lake Winnipesaukee rental in services or goods.

For instance, we're going to need a new roof pretty soon. It's probably a $5000 job. We could pay for materials and provide a couple or three weeks vacation for your family to make up the rest. Or, for instance #2, we are always looking for nice furniture or lamps or other stuff for the camp and if you are a supplier of such things we are happy to work something out that way, as well. (Note: we're looking for a new queen mattress set and a complete King frame and mattress set!).
